PrivacyPolicy

How we handle your information across all Schepsworx products and services.

Last updated: May 2026

Overview

This privacy policy applies to all products and services operated by Andrew Scheps trading as Schepsworx, including Scheps MIDI Transformer, Bounce Factory, and the websites schepsworx.net and bouncefactory.net.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently and responsibly in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information:

  • Purchase information — when you purchase a product, your email address and order details are provided to us by our payment processor (Paddle). We store your email address and a unique license serial number.
  • Activation data — when you activate a software license, we record a unique device identifier generated by your operating system, your platform (Mac/Windows), and the plugin version. This is used solely to enforce the activation limit on your license.
  • Contact information — if you contact us via our website contact form, we collect your name and email address to respond to your inquiry.
  • Website analytics — our websites may collect anonymous visitor data such as pages visited, time on site, and general geographic location. This cannot be used to identify you personally.

We do not collect any information about how you use our software beyond what is described above.

How We Use Your Information
  • To deliver your license key and manage your software activation
  • To enforce the activation limit on your license (maximum 3 machines)
  • To respond to support requests and inquiries
  • To send important information about your purchase or product updates
  • To improve our products and websites

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising purposes.

License Verification

Our software periodically contacts our servers to verify your license is valid. During this process, your license serial number and device identifier are transmitted. No other data is sent. This communication is encrypted via HTTPS.

If you are offline, your license remains valid for up to 30 days without a successful verification. After this period, an internet connection is required to confirm your license.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), who act as Merchant of Record. Your payment details are handled entirely by Paddle and are never stored by us. Please review Paddle's privacy policy at paddle.com/legal/privacy.

Data Retention

We retain your email address and license data for as long as your license is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for support purposes. Activation records are deleted when you deactivate a license. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing of your data
  • Request restriction of processing
  • Data portability

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@bouncefactory.net.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated. Continued use of our products after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
